Teglia’s Paradise Park Summer Kick-Off with Councilmember Oscar Delgado

28

Ward 3 Reno City Councilmember Oscar Delgado is excited to invite the community to Teglia’s Paradise Park on Friday, June 10 from 2-4 p.m. to try out the newly refinished Futsal courts and enjoy games, paletas, and giveaways. The courts are located near El Rancho Dr.

“I can't think of a better way to kick off the summer than with some fun and games on our newly improved futsal courts, paletas, and awesome prizes,” said Reno City Councilmember Oscar Delgado. “Whether you’re trying the game for the first time or a seasoned pro, this event is going to be a great time for everyone.”

Futsal is similar to soccer, but played on a hard court smaller than a soccer pitch. The sport is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Instructors will be on-site during the event to help those learning how to play.

In addition to the futsal courts, Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center also received improvements, including new paint and a new roof. On June 10, individuals will have the opportunity to enjoy the building refresh with free admission for the day. Community members of all ages are invited to participate in a fit and sit class from 9-10 a.m. and beanbag baseball from 12-2 p.m.
