Clara Andriola, incumbent member of the Washoe County Board of Commissioners, is seeking the Republican nomination for re-election to his seat representing District 4 for a four-year term. The primary election will be held on June 11.

As the Reno Gazette Journal reported, Andriola is running to retain her seat representing District 4. She was appointed to that seat last year by Gov. Joe Lombardo. She is running in the GOP primary against Trista Gomez, Tracey Hilton-Thomas, Mark Lawson and John L. "Little John" Walter II.

In an opinion piece for the Reno Gazette Journal, Andriola detailed her priorities over the course of her first term. Among them are making Washoe County's checkbook accessible to the public online, eliminating excessive business ordinances and fees, encouraging local economic development, and supporting law enforcement.
