New Teacher Luncheon

DescriptionThe luncheon will take place in the Meeting Rooms on the 2nd Floor, accessed from the Peckham Lane entrance. All newly hired teachers, counselors, speech pathologists, librarians, and other certified staff are invited to this free, social event. The New Educator Luncheon is an opportunity to connect with other new educators and learn about the Washoe Education Association and resources within the Washoe County School District. If you are unable to attend in person, we will be hosting virtual "meet and greets" via Zoom each afternoon (time), Tuesday, August 3rd through Thursday, August 5th. These optional sessions include meeting with your district Mentor, Risk Management (benefits), Social Emotional Learning, Student Academic and Behavioral Supports, English Language Learners, Kindergarten Collegial, K-5 English Language Arts, and Supplemental Insurance & Financial Planning.
