The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is honoring 17 outstanding graduates as part of its 2022 Countdown to Graduation. These students are recognized for their achievements both on- and off campus and their determination to overcome obstacles on the path to the graduation stage.
“These inspiring young people have showed so much courage and optimism during their high school years, and we could not be prouder of their accomplishments,” said WCSD Board President Dr. Angie Taylor. “They have overcome challenges and adapted to many changes, but never took their eyes off their academic goals. On behalf of my fellow Trustees, I congratulate them and the entire Class of 2022 for a job well done.”
“Our Countdown to Graduation is always a wonderful celebration, and I’ve looked forward to it every year,” said WCSD Superintendent Dr. Kristen McNeill. “It presents all of us with an opportunity to honor our outstanding graduates for their academic achievements and perseverance as they’ve worked toward their goals. I am so grateful to our staff members and families for supporting our students during their time in our schools, encouraging and helping them along the way. These 17 students—and thousands more in the Class of 2022—have worked so hard, and we all look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2022 now and in the future.”
