Medical assistants are needed now more than ever. The administrative and clerical tasks they perform are the glue that holds medical facilities together.

Medical Assistant Job Description

Though duties range from hospital to hospital, a career as a medical assistant is always rewarding. They must be the compassionate hands tending to stressed patients and the eagle eyes keeping track of medical records. Clinical tasks include:

  • Measuring vital signs
  • Helping doctors and nurses with examinations
  • Drawing blood
  • Conducting pregnancy tests
  • Giving patients injections or medication
Medical assistants also have administrative duties such as:
