WCSD Board of Trustees to Discuss Critical Needs and Electric Buses at Upcoming Meeting
As part of our ongoing commitment to keep media partners and the community apprised of important issues in the Washoe County School District (WCSD), please see the information below regarding the upcoming meeting of the WCSD Board of Trustees.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at the WCSD Board Meeting Room located at the Administration Building (425 E. Ninth St., Reno).
The Board is scheduled to discuss critical employment needs and possible grant funding for two electric school buses at the regular public meeting.
- The Board of Trustees will hear a presentation with updated information about the critical labor shortages the District is experiencing in the areas of Transportation, Nutrition Services, Special Education Aides and Assistants and Housekeeping. Human Resources staff members will provide an update about recruitment efforts and operational planning for the upcoming school year.
- Trustees will also consider the purchase of two electric school buses using grant funding as part of the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA).
